William “Bill” Brode

noflower-flagMr. William “Bill” Brode age 90 of Mt. Juliet died May 12, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.  A U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WW II he served in the European Theatre of Operations. He received his PhD in Biology from Mississippi Southern University in Hattiesburg, MS.  He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation with thirty-years of service.  He attended Cook’s United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward John Brode and Alene Crow Brode; sister, Carla Hixon.  He is survived by his wife of fift-four years, Nancy Caplenor Brode; four sons:  Edward, Brode, John (Cindy) Brode, Kirk Brode, David (Christina) Brode; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Goff officiating.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or Cook’s United Methodist Church.  Visitation Saturday after 11 a.m.
