Funeral services for Mr. Wilburn Worley Jr. will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Shelby officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday 12 -8 PM and Thursday after 9 AM at Ligon & Bobo.
Mr. Worley, age 86 of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at his home.
Born December 24, 1927, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Wilburn and Eddie Lee Greer Worley Sr. He worked at the Lebanon Woolen Mill for forty three years. After retiring from there, he worked as a janitor at Quality Care and then at Lebanon High School. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, William Howard Worley; sister, Ola May Bates; and three brothers, J. W., Albert, and Charles Worley.
He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Florence Lorene Hall Worley; two children, Ray (Lisa Rosenboom) Worley and Betty Darlene (Jimmy) Shrum; two grandchildren: Cody Worley and Jessica (Jonathan Pfingsten) Shrum; two great grandchildren, Jass & Chad Worley; brother, Tommy Worley; three sisters, Estelle Hudson, Dora Coutier, and Ruby Romiero; special sister in law, Betty Louise Hall; numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers: Scott Benson, Randall Hutto, Bill Hayes, Jackie Gaither, Ron Johnson, Gary Bush, and Jimmy Ray Morton.
