Virginia Ruth Sullivan Jordan

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ruth Sullivan Jordan will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Brown and Rev. Rodney Duckett officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Monday 3-7 PM and Tuesday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.  Honorary pallbearers: Robert & Gene Bland, Glenda Sellars, Troy Smith, Jeff Sullivan, Debbie Frazier, Judy Howell, Tommy Barber, Rhonda Sadler, Edward Dillahay, Thomas A. Sullivan, Richard Miller, Executive Board of Wilson County Promotions, and Members of Leeville FCE Club. Active pallbearers: grandsons.

Mrs. Jordan, age 91 of Lebanon passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Pavilion in Lebanon.

Born April 6, 1932, at home in Leeville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Howard Young Sullivan and Katy May Callis Sullivan.  On August 1, 1953, she married Claude Martin Jordan at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Leeville.  She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. She was a charter member of the Wilson County Promotions of which she and her husband had been named by the Wilson County Fair, Wilson County Old Timers.  She had been a member of the Leeville FCE Club for seventy years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Martin Jordan on May 31, 2019; great granddaughter, Margaret Rhea Pack; sisters, Doris Sullivan Barber and Mary Katherine Sullivan Bland; and brothers, Robert Baxter Sullivan and Charles Clem Sullivan.

She is survived by two children: James H. (Judy) Jordan and Pamela Jean (Jim) Jones; five grandchildren: Stephen (Kim) Ash; Jeremy Ash; Matthew (Ashley) Ash; Bradley Jordan; Lauren (Andy) Pack; step granddaughter: Jessica (Jason) Cline; ten great grandchildren: Cason, Elliott, Karson, Lucy, Jordan, Kinley and Sawyer Ash; Amon Jerry “A.J.” Pack, Arlo Claude Pack, and John Page Pack; two step great grandchildren: Grant and Chloe Cline; sister, Martha Sullivan Smith; and sisters in law, Virgie Sullivan and Linda Burnett.
