Tommie Rae Dies Tomlinson

Mrs. Tommie Rae Dies Tomlinson age 80 of the Beasley’s Bend Community in Lebanon passed away April 19, 2024 at her home.  A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Eumphrey Phillips Dies.  She was a 1961 graduate of Lebanon High School.  She worked for the Wilson County School System and Lebanon City Schools in the cafeterias at Carroll Oakland, Sam Houston, and Castle Heights for over thirty years.  She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years,  Ray Allen Tomlinson; sisters, Gwen Fisher and Helen King; and two brothers, Frankie and Ethel Dies.

She is survived by two children:  Tony (Janet) Tomlinson, Anita (Don) Cornwell; three grandchildren:  Travis (Hailey) Campbell, Eli (Ivy) Tomlinson, Ashley (Cody) Thayer; five great-grandchildren:  twins, Maleah and Madelyn Campbell, Kai Campbell, Barrett Thayer, and Truitt Campbell; two brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Dies and Clarence (Laura) Dies; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, 2024, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro Mike Shelby officiating.  Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Active Pallbearers:  Travis Campbell, Eli Tomlinson, Cody Thayer, Randy, Shane, Joey and Danny Dies, and James Fisher.  Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Brown, Johnny Dies.  Visitation Sunday 3-7 p.m. and Monday 11a.m. – 1 p.m.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Angela Bennett and Stephanie White and also to the other caregivers and friends for their care and support the last three years.
