Robert Earl “Bob” Buhler
Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Earl “Bob” Buhler will be conducted on Sunday December 28, 2014 at 1:00pm from Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Bob’s sister Betsy Buhler, minister at Community Bible Church in San Antonio, TX, will officiate and interment will follow in the Dixon Springs Cemetery in Smith County. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 27, 2014 from 2pm-8pm and again on Sunday after 11am.
Mr. Bob Buhler, age 69 of Florida and formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday morning December 23, 2014 at the Tidewell Hospice House in Venice, FL. He was born in Wilson County on January 30, 1945 to the Late Robert Earl and Ella Lorraine Hobbs Buhler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Andrew and Nelle Hobbs, and his paternal grandparents; Albert and Janie Buhler.
Mr. Buhler was a retired employee of TRW in Lebanon where he served as an accountant for 35years. He later worked for Federal Mogul for another 5 years in the accounting department. He was a past member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon, TN. He and his wife Betty moved to Rotonda West, Florida in 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Cutrell Buhler; children, Clay (Shannon) Buhler, and Sherry Buhler (Brian) Taylor; granddaughters, Abby and Emma Shelley; brothers, Andrew (Connie) Buhler, Alex (Charlene) Buhler; sisters, Janie Buhler (Roger) Ray, Julia Buhler both of Hartsville, TN, Betsy Buhler of San Antonio, TX, Anne Buhler (Victor) Tuck of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Diana Buhler of Garrett, IN; sisters-in-law, Ellen O’Neal and Sue (Benny) Reynolds.
Bob’s nephews will serve as pallbearers: Jarrod Buhler, Daniel Buhler, Corey Buhler, Ty Buhler, Brian Metcalf, Greg Metcalf, Nick Ray, Josh Richardson, and David Hodge.

in Lebanon High and UT. I got to know Bob then and came to hold him in high regard. Still do. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Bob will always be missed and remembered as a good man, husband and father.
