Lisa Carver Whited

Lisa Whited Cover 2Lisa Carver Whited, 32, of Lebanon, TN, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014, after an 11 year battle with lupus and renal failure. She was born in Lebanon, TN on April 23, 1982 to Dale and Wynema Alsup Carver. Lisa graduated from Friendship Christian School. She was married to Tommy Whited on January 1, 2010.

Lisa had a servant’s spirit and did not allow her health to ever hold her back from helping others. She loved volunteering in the community through Maple Hill church of Christ, Lace Up 4 Pink, Breast Cancer Friends, Churches of Christ Disaster Relief and the Red Cross. She also served on a medical brigade through Mission Lazarus in Honduras. She loved fiercely and without reservation. She put others before herself. She was a loyal friend, a loving daughter, a caring and supportive wife, and most importantly a devoted servant of God. You wouldn’t need to talk to her long to see these qualities gushing out of her.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband Tommy, her parents Dale and Wynema Carver, her brother Dale Carver, her nieces Rachel and Payton Carver.

We will celebrate her life and the blessings she shared with us on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10am at Maple Hill church of Christ. The burial will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Saturday after 9 AM at Maple Hill Church of Christ.

Donations are requested in lieu of flowers to any of the organizations above to which she volunteered.

I haven’t seen Lisa in a while and am deeply hurt to find out about this. She was the sweetest most loving friend I ever had. We went to college together at vol state. My son would cry for her when she had to go home. She always had the kind of smile that no matter what was going on u had to smile with her. I love her so much she was more like family than a friend and loved my boys as if they were her family too. I’m glad she is not suffering any more and my heart goes out to her family.
  6. Danielle Eakle says:
