Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Hoyt Everett will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Owens and Bro. Joe Nelms officiating. Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Tuesday 4 –8 PM and Wednesday after 9 AM at Ligon & Bobo.
Mr. Everett, age 89 of Lebanon passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at his home.
Born August 15, 1925, in Smith County, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Ira Foster Everett and Larcena Wilkerson Everett. He worked in Miss Partee’s flower garden while a student at McClain. He then went to work at Partee’s Service Station. He had a goat and wagon that he used to go around and sell kindling from Gulf Cedar Mill Pencil Factory. In later years he worked in construction with his father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sammie Lois Everett, Eddie Wayne Everett, and Bobbie Dean WInfree.
He is survived by his sister, Katherine (Bobby) Baskin; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
