Gary S. Haskins

Graveside service for Mr. Gary S. Haskins will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Bro. Donald Owens officiating.

Mr. Haskins, age 64 of Lebanon passed away March 13, 2022, at Lebanon Health.

Born September 13, 1957, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late John Harold and Judy McFarland Hearn Haskins.  He retired as a deputy from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department after thirty four years of service.  He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Ewen Haskins.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ewen Haskins; three children: Jennifer Haskins, Gary (Jessica) Haskins Jr., and Alyssa (Chase) Dillard; and  grandchildren: Zane Fields, Hailey Fields, Laura Dillard, Jaxton Dillard, Jordan McGuire, Blaine Dinkins, Noah Cole, Peyton Cole, Gary Haskins III, and Emma Haskins.

    So sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. We worked together at the Sheriff’s Department for many years. Not only was he a good officer, he was a great friend. He will be truly missed. May God bless his entire family.

    Gary will be happily remembered and sadly missed. He was my supervisor when I came to work at the Sheriff’s Office. There was no shortage of laughter when he was around. He was a great supervisor, mentor and friend. I will miss my friend the most. God be with your family.
