Funeral services for Mr. Elliott Eugene Graves will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Fesler and Bro. Jacob Lannom officiating.  Interment will follow at Conatser Cemetery.  Visitation Wednesday 2-8 PM and Thursday from 10 AM – 1:00 PM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Graves, age 82 of Lebanon passed away Monday, June 10, 2019, at his home.

Born May 22, 1937, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Jack Graves and Elizabeth Holman (Hobert) Hemontolor.  He was an active member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, treasurer, and song leader for many years.  Eugene retired from General Electric after thirty-four years.  He then worked in the Garden Center at Walmart for many years.  He also cut timber and sold vegetables.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: daughter, Karen Graves White; and a brother, Terry Lee Hemontolor.

He is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Jeraldine Conatser Graves; three children: Eric Graves; Kevin (Sandra) Graves; and Kristen (Chad) Ragsdale; nine grandchildren: Paul Elliott Graves; Mark Graves; Andrea (Jessie) Dillard, Kaitlyn (Will) Wakefield; Leah White; Eli White; Colton, Connor, and Cortnie Ragsdale; four great grandchildren: Ellie Graves, Colbie and Mya Kate Dillard, and Corleigh Conrad; sister, Valerie Martin; sister in law, Peggy Hemontolor; several nieces and  nephews.

Pallbearers: Jessie Lee Dillard, Mark Graves, Eli White, Colton Ragsdale, Connor Ragsdale, and Paul Elliott Graves.

The family would especially like to thank Carolyn Sharp, Jeff Napier, Avalon Hospice, Home Instead, and Kindred Home Health Care for their devoted care during Eugene’s illness.
