Ed L. Eaton

Eaton, age 84 of Lebanon, TN and a native of Alexandria, TN, was taken Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from Summit Medical Center in Hermitage and received by heavenly angels and taken to his father’s home.  Ed was born April 30, 1930 to Tommy and Elizabeth McMillen Eaton in Alexandria.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Eaton.  He was a graduate of Watertown High School where he played football and was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  He was employed with the Wilson Farmer’s Co-Op for thirty five years.

 

He is survived by the love of his life for sixty three years, Sue Williams Eaton; three sons:  Edward (Linda) Eaton, Randy “BoBo” (Debbie Jo) Eaton, Mike Eaton; grandchildren:  Katie (Jeremy) Pitman, Mary Grace Eaton, Randy Eaton, Jeremy (Jane) Howard; great-grandchildren:  Kimberly and Blaine Pitman, Kaia and Abegayle Howard.

 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. from the Immanuel Baptist Church, 214 Castle Heights Ave. Lebanon, with Pastor John Hunn and Rev. Donald Owens officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexandria.  Members of his Wilson Farmer’s Co-Op family will serve as Honorary and Active Pallbearers.  Visitation  Friday 3-8 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Lebanon  and Saturday after 9 a.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church.
