Funeral services for Mr. E. H. Northern will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. W. D. Thomason officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday 3–8 PM and Thursday after 12:00 Noon at Ligon & Bobo.
Mr. Northern, age 89 of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Southern Manor.
Born May 19, 1927, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late William Byrd Northern and Bernie Mai Burton Northern. He retired from Ford Glass after thirty years, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and served as a deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia (Ivan) Bechman and Martha (Merle) Davis; and brother in law, Rufus Harper.
He is survived by his wife of nearly sixty six years, Joyce Stone Northern; two children, Donnie (Nancy) Northern and Sue Ann (Phil) Bragg; five grandchildren, Jennifer Bragg (Matthew) Pitt, Emily Bragg, Melanie Northern, Joey (Lauren) Northern, and Lydia Northern (Taylor) Dudney; two great grandchildren, Hadley & Lyla Northern; and a sister, Pauline Harper.
