Burton “Bucky” Purcell

Bucky PurcellwebServices for Mr. Burton “Bucky” Gilbert Purcell will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon.  Visitation Friday 4-8 PM and after 1 PM Saturday at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Purcell, age 77 of Lebanon and formerly of Paris passed away December 31, 2014.

Born January 6, 1937, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Dallas and Florine Shoulders Purcell.  He was the plant manager for Emerson Electric in Bennettsville, SC, Murphy, NC, and Paris, TN.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris.  He was an avid golfer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Purcell.

He is survived by his wife, Danice Green Purcell; three children, Brian Purcell and his wife, Susie Spear Purcell; Tracy Purcell Nicholas and her husband, Jeff; and Russell Purcell; grandchildren, Rachel, Kendall & Luke Purcell, Danielle Jurkovich & Nola Nicholas; great grandchild, Cohen Robles; sister, Dorothy Kinnamon; sister in law, Betty Purcell.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Paris, TN.
