Beulah Patton Corley

Graveside service for Mrs. Beulah Patton Corley will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Monday from 12:00 – 2:45 P.M. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.

Mrs. Corley, age 88 of Jackson, Mississippi, where she had resided since 1963, passed away November 29, 2022, at St. Dominic’s in Jackson, MS.

Born May 3, 1934, in Watertown, she is the daughter of the late Clarence and Isabelle Jennings Patton.  She retired from Hinds General Hospital where she had worked as a medical technologist.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Penuel and Helen Malone.

She is survived by her husband of sixty eight years, Hugh Trousdale Corley; and several nieces and nephews.

    Hugh, just learned of Beulah’s passing. Time sure gets away, hard to believe most of us haven’t seen each other in seventy years. We kept hoping you all would be at a class reunion. I know how it was. I’ve lived in Albany , Georgia since 1965 . After your first you look forward to each one . At the last one(2018) we hoped to get together the next year but Covid came along. Hugh , at our age we just have memories left. I was a widow at forty nine but have three children & eight grand children which have been a blessing. I remember you & your sweet Beulah well. It’s wonderful to have had so many years (that you all had) together. So glad to have been able to be in touch. Nell Hearn Blaylock
