Betty Jean Smith

betty smith photoMrs. Betty Jean Buterbaugh Smith age 86 of Lebanon died September 24, 2015, at her home.  Born in Springfield, MO, she was the daughter of the late James “Jim” Buterbaugh and Betty Mae Yarbrough Buterbaugh.  She was a custodian for the Wilson County School System and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Rocky Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Farley Smith; Special Uncle and Aunt, “Pap” and Mammy”, Alvin and Frances Ledbetter; two sisters:  Billie Pearson and Patti Hunter; four brothers:  Jim, Bobby, Kenneth and Grant Buterbaugh.

Survived by five children:  Reid (Betty) Smith, Peggy Weber, Patti Smith, Connie (Kevin) Laughlin, Kelly (Randy) Rollins; six grandchildren:  David (Brittany) Westmoreland, Jennifer (Adam) Sharp, Donnie Gray, Adam Weber, Sarah and Joseph Rollins; four great-grandchildren:  Avril and Skeet Sharp, Bailey Westmoreland, Gage Weber.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 28, 2015, at 10 a.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Eld. Garry Drennon and Bro. Randy Rollins officiating.  Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Active Pallbearers:  Reid Smith, David Westmoreland, Joseph Rollins, Nathan Koby, Adam Sharp, Adam Weber; Honorary Pallbearers:  Kevin Laughlin, Don Jackson, Joshua Koby, Skeet Sharp.  Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. and Monday after 9 a.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Wilson County Library.
