Peggy Warden Camp

Funeral service for Mrs. Peggy Warden Camp will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Darrin Reynolds officiating.  Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Sunday 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

Mrs. Camp, age 63 of Lebanon passed away June 29, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Born July 24, 1959, in Davidson County, she is the daughter of the late Joe Earlie Warden and Sara Inez Dunn Warden. She had just retired from the Lebanon Special School District where she had been a special education assistant at Walter J. Baird.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father in law, James E. Camp.

She is survived by her husband of forty four years, James Camp; two children:  Sara (David) Hight and Jeremy Camp; grandchildren:  Gavin, Grayson, and Sara Grace “Gracie” Lowery, Courtney, Emily and Blake Hight; and mother in law, Selestine Camp.

Honorary pallbearers: Former co-workers at Walter J. Baird and special friends

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to American Diabetes Association.

    I knew Peggy from middle school on through our adult years working together at Walter J Baird. She was such a kind and loving person. She was firm when necessary with the students she worked with, but always in a loving way. They knew they were loved. She definitely was at the place where God knew she was needed. My heart breaks for all of her family, both personal and school. I hope you can find some peace in knowing that she is whole again as she rejoices in Heaven seeing loved ones again that had gone before her. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” My prayers are with all of you.
