Nancy “Babs” Parker
Mrs. Nancy “Babs” Parker age 87 of Gladeville passed away peacefully at her home February 4, 2025. Born in Wilson County, TN, she was one of three children and the only daughter of the late Charlie Max Foster and Margaret Elizabeth Nance Foster. She was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and was a member of the Gladeville Methodist Church. She worked in insurance as a clerical worker most of her working career having worked for National Life & Accident Insurance in Nashville and finally retiring from Easterly’s Lebanon Insurance Agency. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Raymond Parker; and brother, Charles Wayne Foster.
She is survived by three children: Sherri (Wayne) Etheridge, Gary “Spud” (Jan) Parker, Kathy (Kenny) Risner; two grandchildren: Alicia (Daniel) Donaldson, Courtney (Matthew) Patterson; four great-grandchildren: Parker Donaldson, Maggie Donaldson, Jaycee Patterson, Asher Patterson; brother, Eddie (Marlene) Foster; sister-in-law, Carolyn Foster; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 1 p.m. from the Gladeville Methodist Church, 8770 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Gladeville, with Rev. Mark Youngman and Rev. Moses Han officiating. Interment – Caraway Cemetery, Gladeville, TN. Active Pallbearers: Parker Donaldson, John Foster, Chuck Foster, Ricky Sanders, Daniel Donaldson, Matthew Patterson, and Ian Kincaid; Honorary Pallbearers: Ernest Sanders, Randy Savage, Jerry Jones. Visitation Thursday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Gladeville Methodist Church.
