Marion Sloan

Graveside service for Ms. Marion Sloan will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Pleasant Shade Cemetery in Smith County with Bro. Kevin Medlin officiating.  Visitation Monday 3-7 PM and Tuesday 11 AM until 12 Noon at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.

Ms. Sloan, age 87 of Lebanon passed away February 15, 2024, at the Pavillion.

Born June 9, 1936, in Smith County, she is the daughter of the late Henry and Lois Hackett Sloan.  She moved to Wilson County in 1962.  She had worked for LE-AL-CO, Bradley Candy Company, Bell South and then started selling specialty advertising for the last twenty five years of her working career before retiring. She attended the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Paul Douglas Sloan and a granddaughter Samantha Dillehay.

She is survived by two sons: Scotty (Debra) Dillehay and Jimmy Wilmore; three grandchildren: Candice (Chris) Fields, Jeremy (Tiffany) Dillehay, and Dustin (Jessica) Dillehay; great grandchildren: Nathan & Emily Fields, Nicholas Dillehay, Charlie Hopper, and Jackson Dillehay; sisters, Sara Cox and Connie (Stan) East; and a brother, Archie “Phil” Sloan.

Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Shade Cemetery.
