Maebell James Carlton

Mrs. Maebell James Carlton, age 101 of Lebanon passed away July 15, 2024, at American House in Lebanon.

The family will receive friends at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.  She will be buried at the Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

Born December 8, 1922, in Ada, Oklahoma, she is the daughter of the late Cul and Lillian James.  She was a homemaker, and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.  She also was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star, where she had served as Grand Matron.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Carlton in 2001; daughter, Regina Carlton, and a grandson, Roy Lee.

She is survived by her son, Larry Carlton; three grandchildren: Troy Lee, Travis Carlton, and Katie Carlton-Beale (Marcus Coe); and three great grandchildren: McKenzie Carlton, Kerrigan Beale, and Kylan Coe.
