Lucille Helen Cook
Mrs. Lucille Helen Cook, 97, formerly of Peoria, IL and Fort Myers, FL passed away at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Lebanon, TN, on May 1, 2025.
Lucille (Lucy/Sis) was born on November 21, 1927 in Peoria, IL to Marcus D. and Charlotte McIntosh Herr. She attended Woodruff High School. On May 25, 1946 in Peoria, IL she married Raymond M. Cook. They enjoyed sixty four wonderful years together before he passed away on November 2, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents Mark and Charlotte Herr and her brother Bud Herr, all of Peoria.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Patrick Mooney of Lebanon, TN and her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Phyllis Cook of Yates City, IL; grandchildren, Connor Mooney and Kelsey and Jeremy Reusch, all of Wauconda, IL, along with her two nieces and nephew and close friends who will miss her dearly.
Lucy was an accomplished artist, avid book reader and loved to travel. She would tell you her greatest source of enjoyment outside her family would be holding a fishing pole waiting to catch the ‘big one.’ She met and had many friends throughout her long life and always enjoyed a good “Happy Hour.”
