Linda Kay Collier

Linda Kay Collier, 77, passed away suddenly at her home in Lebanon on February 6, 2025.
Funeral service for Linda Collier will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Sheryl Hall and Rev. Gary Wedgewood officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Crestview Cemetery in Gallatin. Visitation Tuesday 3-7PM and Wednesday after 12 noon at Ligon & Bobo.
She was born in Lebanon to Shelah and Bessie Thompson on December 13, 1947. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1965. She had interest in learning bookkeeping and decided to attend Fall’s Business College in Nashville, graduating in 1967. It was here that she met her future husband, David Collier. They married on September 7, 1968. She had several bookkeeping jobs in Nashville and Cookeville but when they moved back to Lebanon, she became a full-time homemaker. She was a member of Leeville United Methodist Church. She loved working in her yard, landscaping and planting flowers.
She was an active member of the United Methodist SEJ & TWK Historical Societies, First United Methodist Women of Faith, United Methodist S.A.L.T. Ministry, and the Twin States and Mid-State Iris Societies. She was also the curator of the United Methodist Asbury-Babb House.
Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years who died in January 2023, her parents, and her in-laws, John David and Lula Renfro Collier of Gallatin. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Jennifer) Collier and Andrew (Stephanie) Collier; grandchildren Calie (Colton) Nichols, Will Collier, and Sebastian Collier; sister Barbara Thompson.
