Kathy lived a very full life centered around her faith, family and many friends. She was always quick witted with words that encouraged many. Her life was an example for many young women on how to live, love and laugh. Family life of work and raising children that were taught to love the Lord and to be of great character. She retired from Wilson Bank and Trust as a teller where she worked for many years and was a member of Beckwith Missionary Baptist Church.
Kathy married Robert J. Robinson in 1963. He preceded her in death after forty-seven years of marriage. They had two children that survive: Tina (Anthony) Driver and Bobby (Rhonda) Robinson; two grandchildren: Spencer R. Fields and Savannah E. Yates (Logan); two step-grandchildren: Keshia (Jonathan) Binion and Dusty Driver; two great-grandchildren: Mason E. Fields and L.J. Yates; three step-great-grandchildren: Jordan Bayne, Nathan Binion, and Bentley Binion.
Kathy married John F. Scott in 2014. He preceded her in death after nine years of marriage. They traveled with many friends and loved the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by brother, Jimmy (Gayle) Goolsby, Debra (Grayson) Heckman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivory “Ike” and Agnes Branham Goolsby. She also leaves behind many friends and loved ones to carry on the examples she imparted.
Kathy was supported in her final days by friends and family, with a special love from family and devoted niece, Marsha Raines.
She would have told anyone this: “Live with a love for God, walk in faith, love without bounds, leave a good example for others to see and live by.”
The family would like to honor the staff and nurses of Gentiva Hospice, special thanks to Carla, Darlene, Eyrn, Cindy, Hailey, Brittany and Dr. Hardie Sorrels.
