Mr. J. T. Robinson Jr., age 92 of Lebanon, passed away on October 13, 2023 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro.  He was born in Wilson County on May 4, 1931 to the late John T. Robinson Sr.  and Ollie Woodrooff Robinson.  Mr. Robinson was a graduate of Watertown High School and was a member of College Hills Church of Christ.  He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War serving on the Valley Forge Aircraft Carrier, and was stationed in Guam.  His working career started at Commerce Union Bank, then to Parkway Motors.  He then owned and operated Emerald Supply for many years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty two years, Martha Smith Robinson; and two sisters, Hazel Robinson and Betty Criner.

Survived by three children, Denise (Gary) Thorne, Sandra (Tick) Bryan, and Andy (Gayle) Robinson; grandchildren Eric (Rhonda) Thorne, Traci (John) Pope, Caleb (Jessica) Thorne, Drew Robinson, Holly (Chase) Knott, and Steve Bryan; great-grandchildren, Nathan (Courtney) Thorne & Laine Thorne, Amber (Tatum) Daily, Kennedy & Garrett Pope, Copeland & Hunter Thorne, Harlynn Bryan, and Hank Knott; great great grandchildren: Emery & Eisley Daily; and sister in law, Dorothy Jean Smith.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday October 15, 2023 at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.  Bro. Kevin Owen and Bro. Dan Gulley will officiate, and interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Norene, TN.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until service time.

Pallbearers will be: Eric Thorne, Caleb Thorne, Drew Robinson, Nathan Thorne, John Pope, and Garrett Pope.
