Eupha Ann Pennington Gibbons

Cryptside service for Mrs. Eupha Ann Pennington Gibbons will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Bro. Will McReynolds officiating.  Visitation at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home will be from 1:00-1:45 PM on Wednesday.

Mrs. Gibbons, age 91 of Lebanon passed away March 17, 2025, at Willow Springs in Spring Hill.

Born April 4, 1933, in Barron County, Kentucky, she is the daughter of the late Osco and Eula Hunt Pennington.  Over the years, she had worked at Lebanon Bank, Peoples Bank, and Suntrust.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Russell Gibbons, and a sister Evelyn (Roland) Smith.

She is survived by three children: Kathy (Ray) Bussieres, Karen (Jeff) Kromer, and Leonard Keith (Perrie) Gibbons; six grandchildren: Russell (Ksandra) Thomas, Mark (Krystal) Thomas, Audrey (Matt) Vaughn, Lauren “Ellie” Gibbons, Carter Gibbons, and Brian Kromer; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Don (Sandra) Pennington; and brothers-in-law, Tommy (Wanda) Gibbons, and Larry Gibbons.

    We all love Eupha. She was always so kind to me even when I was the new girl in the family. She is so loved and missed by my husband, her brother Donnie. He always looked up to his big sister who always looked out for him when they were growing up. She is missed by all her family.
