Dorothy Ann Tomlinson Ashley
Mrs. Dorothy Ann Tomlinson Ashley, age 95 of Lebanon passed away at her home on March 20, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Born March 11, 1930, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late Virgil G. and Thelma Inez Wilkerson Tomlinson. She was born in the Saulsbury Community and raised in Lebanon graduating from Lebanon High School. She was a homemaker, a prolific artist working with oil and acrylic, and an award winning quilter. She was an active member of Westland United Methodist Church, and was a part of the Carroll Oakland Home Extension Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, James Earl Ashley on October 2, 2020; and two brothers, Raymond L. Tomlinson and Charles G. Tomlinson.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol & Jim Gundy and Janis and David Feit; three granddaughters, Hayley (Chris) Cunningham, Lindsay (Drew) Landolt, and Andrea (Josh) McCauley; five great grandchildren, Lily & Emma Landolt, Asher, Madeleine & Beckett Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
