Charles Luther Young
Mr. Charles Luther Young, age 73, of Mt. Juliet, passed away May 5, 2025, at Centennial Medical Center. Born July 28, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Henry Luther Young and Mary Ruth Vance Young. He was a 1969 graduate of Lebanon High School. He received a Master’s degree in criminal justice from State University of New York. Early in his working career he was employed by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. He retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Jean Foster Young; daughter, Stephanie Lucretia Ward; grandson, Luther Alexander Ward; step-son, Jon Moss and his wife Amy, and step-grandchildren: Emma and Addison Moss; brother, Larry Vance Young and his wife Dr. Robin Fuchs Young.
A memorial service to celebrate Charles’ life will be held at a later date.
