Truitt DavisFuneral services for Mr. Truitt “Toby” Davis will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Pinion officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Monday 2-8 PM and Tuesday after 10 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Davis, age 79 of Lebanon passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at University Medical Center.

Born May 26, 1935, in Dekalb County, he is the son of the late Edgar and Lonie O’Connor Davis.  He retired from Martha White after thirty five years’ service.  He then worked at the Ward Ag Center for many years.  He was a Baptist.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Paris and Janie Lane, and seven brothers, Eddie, Junior, Ralph, Billy, Paul, Jackie and Charles Davis.

He is survived by his wife of fifty nine years Nancy Hodge Davis; three children, Randy (Becky) Davis, Kathy (Bubba) Randolph, and Timmy Davis; two sisters, Betty Hastie and Caroline Fields; three brothers, Phillip (Carol) Davis, Tony Davis, and Jerry (Dorothy) Davis; five grandsons, Joey (Denise) Davis, Allen Davis, Jessie (Sawin) Randolph, Daniel (Carla) Davis, Toby (Leslie) Randolph; and nine great grandchildren, Tiffany, Whitney, Taylor, Jacob, Nathan, Austin, Macie, Angel, and Jaden.
