Sue Bragg Land
Mrs. Sue Bragg Land, age 87 of Salem, VA and formerly of Lebanon went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Fletcher K. and Jesse Steele Bragg, brothers, Joe Thomas, Howard Keele, and James Campbell Bragg; sister, Mary Lillian Bragg; beloved twin sister, Sarah Bragg Cather, Daughter Gail Land Gressley and an infant daughter, Carolyn. Mrs. Land served in the ministry alongside of her husband in many capacities and locations.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, James Dudley (J.D.) Land; children, Sarah Land, John Land, and Nancy Martin and husband Tim; grandchildren, Nicole Gressley, Allison Lovins and husband Craig, Amanda Daubert and husband Sam, Rachael Gressley, Danielle, Kathryn, Noah, and Levi Martin; great grandchildren, Kaden Gunn and Gwendolyn Lovins; brothers in law, Douglas Cather, Charles Land and wife Ann; sisters-in-law, Barbara Bragg, Frances Jones and husband Jimmy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the dear folks at Snyder’s Nursing Home in Salem for the wonderful care they provided our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Gideon’s International, or to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering at your church.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home 241 West Main Street Lebanon, with Bro. Don McElroy officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday and after 1 PM Wednesday at Ligon-Bobo Funeral Home.
