Robert Baxter Sullivan

robert sullivanMr. Robert Baxter Sullivan age 86 of the Leeville Community in Lebanon died July 17, 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.  A native of Wilson County he was the son of the late Howard Young Sullivan and Kate Callis Sullivan.  He was an Army veteran and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.  He retired from American Airlines Fleet Service with thirty-five years of service.    He was preceded in death by sister, Doris Barber; brother, Charles Clem Sullivan.

Survived by wife of 65 ½ years, Virgie Lannom Sullivan; three children:  Judy Howell, Debbie (Ray) Frazier, Jeff (Kristy) Sullivan; two grandchildren:  Megan and Logan Sullivan; three sisters:  Mary Katherine Bland, Virginia (Claude) Jordan, and Martha Smith.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Duckett and Bro. Richard Jenkins.  Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Retirees of American Airlines, Men’s Sunday School Class of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Winter Texan Friends.  Active Pallbearers:  Ricky Sanders, Greg Gibson, James Jordan, Troy Smith, Tommy Barber, Gene Bland, Robert Bland, Steve Smith.  Visitation Tuesday 2-8 p.m.  and Wednesday after 11 a.m.
