Memorial services for Mr. Richard T. Ward will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Kennedy officiating. Visitation Saturday 10 AM until service at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Ward, age 73 of Hermitage passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home.

Born October 26, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, he is the son of the late Truman and Mae Owens Ward. He was the manager of Cook & Love Shoe Store in Nashville for many years, and was a member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of over fifty four years, Linda Stanfield Ward; son, Rich (Jan) Ward of Dickson; two daughters, Kelley (Sam) Astolos of Nashville; and Robin (Rick) Rasnic of Clarksville; brother, Owen Ward of St. Charles, MO; two sisters, Doris Hardy of Nacomis, IL and Gloria Simon of Lake Helen, FL; 9 grandchildren: Richey (Lizzy) Ward, Carter Ward, Rebekah (Ryan) Cochran, Chance, Emily, Evans and Elliott Astolos, Katie Black, and Sarah Beth Rasnic; 2 great grandchildren, Josie & Able Ward.
