novie maggartFuneral services for Mrs. Novie Edwards Maggart will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Suiter officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Monday 2–7 PM and Tuesday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo .

Mrs. Maggart, age 93 of Lebanon passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Hearthside.

Born November 29, 1922, in Trousdale County, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Omer Shaffer Edwards.  She worked at Precision Rubber for over twenty seven years, and volunteered at University Medical Center for fifteen years.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Maggart; sister, Willie Mai Tomlinson, and a brother, J. H. Edwards.

She is survived by two children: Faye (Carl) Johnson and Gary (Barbara Christian) Maggart; sister, Floyd Dixon; three grandchildren, David (Danielle) Moss, John (Kristin) Maggart, and Erin (Phil) Williams; great grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth & Alex Moss; Lily, Liz & John Logan Maggart; Landon & Lauren WiIliams.

Honorary pallbearers: Dr. Roy Terry, Randall Clemons, Larry Squires, Tommy Thompson, John Wrye, and Tommy Meadors.

Active pallbearers: Gary Maggart, John Maggart, Carl Johnson, David Moss, Phil Williams, and Charles Carter.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Jennifer Donnell and the staff of Hearthside and also to Davene Tomlinson and her Sunday School class.
