Mary New Owens
Mrs. Mary New Owens, age 85 of Lebanon, passed away April 23, 2019. She was born in Sipes Springs, TX the daughter of the late John Edward New and Lena Rutledge New. She was a retired bookkeeper and homemaker. She was a member of West Hills Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Royal Matron of the Order of the Amaranth, White Shrine of Jerusalem and Past Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Garry William Owens; son, Garry Lynn (Bleeka) Owens; Five Grandchildren: Stephanie (Nicholas) Dejulio, Garry, Holly, Michael and Rebecca Owens; seven great-grandchildren: Gracie Lynn, Jada Lynn, Garry Lynn Owens III, Cole Borcherding, Ryker Owen Lehew, Vivian and Vincent Monsivaiz; two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Kathleen Dunn, and sister, Ruth Ann Flanigan.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Jonas Taylor officiating. Interment – Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation Friday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
