Mary Katherine Howard Harris
Visitation with the family of Mrs. Mary Katherine Howard Harris will be from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. There will be a private family graveside service at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris, age 86 of Lebanon passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Quality Care.
Born September 27, 1930, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late Haskell Dalton and Marie Lannom Howard. Over the years, she had worked at South Central Bell, Dodson-Davis Insurance, Cedars Health Care, and had worked for the Wilson County Schools at the Alternative School. She was a member of Flat Rock Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Dalton Harris.
She is survived by her husband of sixty six years, John William Harris; two sons, Billy (Linda) Harris and Phillip (Sue) Harris; three grandchildren, Jason (Tracy) Harris, Kayla (Matt) Jarrett, and Sarah (Matthew) Davis; great granddaughters, Katie Harris, Allie Jarrett, Taylor and Marli Davis; brother in law, Jim (Joann) Harris; and sisters-in-law, Kathleen Harris and Dot Smith; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers: Matt Jarrett, Matt Davis, Jason Harris, Phillip Harris, Billy Harris, and Richard Minchey.
