Marshall A. Comer

marshall-comerFuneral service for Mr. Marshall A. Comer will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Friday 2-8 PM and Saturday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Comer, age 84 of Lebanon passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016, at his home.

Born July 5, 1932, in Rutherford County, he is the son of the late Robert Buford and Susie Alsup Comer.  He served in the United States Army from 1953-1955.  He studied welding at Nashville Auto Diesel College, and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.  He was a welder having owned Comer Welding for forty years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Lawrence; brother, Charles Comer, and a sister, Ruth Dodson.

He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Catherine Whited Comer; three children, Kenny (Laura) Comer, Rick (Diane) Comer, and Cathy (Tommy) Lawrence; two brothers, M. J. (Charlene) Comer and Robert (Pam) Comer; six grandchildren, Bobby (Angie) Comer, Matt (Brandy) Comer, Bailey (Bryce) White, Justin (Rachel) Comer, Travis (Angela) Comer, and Joey (Lindsey) Lawrence; eight great grandchildren: Trevor, Austin, Gracie, Hadley, Hudson and Amelia Comer, Sydney & Scarlett Lawrence.

Honorary pallbearers: Trevor & Austin Comer, Gracie Comer, nephews, and caregivers, John Weese, Julie Brand, and Edwina & Fred Reeder.

Active pallbearers: Bobby, Justin, Matt & Travis Comer, Joey Lawrence, and Bailey White
