Margaret Belcher Piercey

nopicture-butterfly1Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Belcher Piercey will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Carden officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Sunday 1-5 PM and Monday after 10 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Piercey, age 93 of Lebanon passed away Friday, October 30, 2015, at The Hearth of Hendersonville.

Born August 19, 1922, in Trousdale County, she is the daughter of the late Grover and Alice Jane Helton Belcher.  She was a graduate of Trousdale County High School.  She was a member of Providence Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had attended the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.   She was a homemaker and was very active in the Red Hat Society, AARP, DAR, and Cedars Senior Center.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Piercey; two sisters, Katherine Belcher and Vincey Dixon; brother, Jasper Belcher; and nephew, David Belcher.

She is survived by her sister, Volene Barnes; nieces, Julie Barnes, Janet Barnes, and Martha Dixon; and great nephew, Russell Belcher.
