img912Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Robinson Forester will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Roach and Bruce Meriwether officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Monday 11–1 at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Forester, age 101 of Lebanon passed away Friday, January 29, 2016, at Quality Care.

Born July 17, 1914, in Cannon County, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Claude and Era Bryson Adams.  She was a graduate of Watertown High School and attended Watkins Institute.  She worked for the State of Tennessee as an auditor for twenty two years, retiring in 1985.  She was a member of First Baptist Church- Downtown Nashville and was in the Fidelis Sunday School Class.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Robinson in 1938 and Bernard Forester in 1993; son, James F. “Jimmy” Robinson in 2015; sister, Sue Fields, and brother, Joe Adams.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Peggy Jordan Robinson; two grandsons, Stanley (Regina) Robinson and Andy (Melissa) Robinson; five great grandchildren, Nicole Evans, Jordan (Katelyn) Robinson, Drew, Carrie, and Peyton Robinson; two great great grandchildren, Maddie & Lane Evans.
