Such a kind and gentle man who will be missed by family and friends. Just celebrated his birthday a couple of Sundays ago and he and Pat sat at our table for First UMC’s 50th anniversary. I’m glad I got to hear him sing at that event–he did have a good voice. Wonderful friend.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Kenneth and Peggy. Growing up in church with them and staying in there home. Harriet and Randall you are in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed. Love and hugs!
  7. Steve Brown says:
Mr. Hughes was a genuine gentleman who will be greatly missed. I remember how he could still wear his service uniform to veteran events. He was a longtime family friend.
  8. Rob Spruill says:
Years ago I had the honor of presenting Kenneth a Lifetime Service Award from the Baptist Mens’ Group at First Baptist. While Kenneth preferred his service to be behind the scenes (like years of solving maintenance challenges on the church building, etc.), he would step into the light when called upon (Chairman of Deacons, President of Baptist Men, etc.). He took the call of Christ to be a servant very seriously (delivering meals on wheels in his latter years was one of many examples). His life was a testimony to the Lord and an inspiration to all.
