Johnnie Warren Hemontolor

ZMrs. Johnnie Warren Hemontolor age 90 of Lebanon died June 9, 2015, at Cedars Health Care.  She was born in Gainsboro July 23, 1924, to the late Newt and Mary Coffee Warren.  Mrs. Johnnie was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of God.  She enjoyed life by serving God, her family and friends.  She was chief cook and dietician for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department for twenty-five years.  She was the only lady to serve as a cook at all three jails in Wilson County.  She had a way of talking to inmates in order to try and guide them in changing their lives for the better.  Many of which have done just that.  She was awarded a plaque for her twenty-five years of service by then Sheriff Terry Ashe and Wilson County Commissioners.  She retired at the age of eighty-three.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie B. Hemontolor; eight siblings:  Ruby Warren Pigg, Polly Warren Scantland, Zelma Warren Emberton, Willie J. (Bill) Warren, Cleo Warren Brown, Carlos Warren, Bonnie Warren Tidwell, Odis Ray Warren; great-grandchild, Hailey Comer.

Survived by two children:  Jo Helen (Frank) Hall, David (Pam) Hemontolor; two grandchildren:  David (Laurie Gentry) Hemontolor, Melissa (Chris) Burton; three great-grandchildren:  Darrin (Terri Herron) Hemontolor, Kyleigh Burton, Ella Hemontolor; one great-great-grandchild, Kaylee Hemontolor; step-grandchildren:  David Comer Jr., Derrick (Etta) Comer, step-great-grandchild, Cassie O’Bryan.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 12, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, with Bro. Kenneth Bowen officiating.  Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Visitation Thursday 2-8 p.m. and Friday after 10 a.m.
