Messages for the Family

It is with heartfelt grief that we say goodbye to our neighbor Johnny Dickens. No one ever provided a better example of the true meaning of being a real neighbor. My earliest memories of Johnny center around his role as scoutmaster to a bunch of unruly adolescents. Long before I was able to appreciate the true meaning of this dedication and sacrifice, I and the other boys all knew that this was a man who deserved our respect and admiration. I have no doubt that Johnny earned that same respect from all who were fortunate enough to know him. Perhaps the greatest praise we can give is this…Johnny, the world has been a better place because you were in it.
