John A. Pruitte

JOHN PMr. John A. Pruitte age 85 of Lebanon passed away May 19, 2016.  A native of Wilson County, he was the son of the late Albert Bates Pruitte and Mollie High Pruitte.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  He worked in construction work as brick and block mason and electrician.  He was a member of the LaGuardo Baptist Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Boles Pruitte; daughter, Linda Bradley; sister, Annie Hardin; six brothers:  James, Cordell, Elisha, Louis, Jack and Robert Pruitte.

Survived by wife, Evelyn Hailey Pruitte; four children:  Jimmy Lannom, Phil Hailey, Darlene (Allen) Smith, Johnny (Rhonda) Pruitte; sister, Birdie Spivey; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Butler officiating.  Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Active Pallbearers:  Mike and Ricky Hardin, Bruce Pruitte, James Spivey, Bobby Pruitte and Perry Knowles.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Men’s Sunday School Class of LaGuardo Baptist Church.  Visitation Saturday 4-7 p.m. and Sunday after 12 Noon.  Memorial contributions may be made to the LaGuardo Baptist Church Building Fund or Lebanon Senior Citizens.
