Mrs. Jessie Ruth Williams Hall, age 92 of Lebanon, passed away May 19, 2016, at her home. She was born in Wilson County, July 6, 1923, to the late Amos Tinsley and Ova Tinsley Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Hall, who was killed in action during WWII; son, George Edward Hall, brothers: David and Ellus Williams, sisters; Emma Lou Osborne, Ann Finley, and Margaret Wood.
She attended Sullins College and was a real estate agent. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she had served as church secretary and a deacon. Survived by daughter; Joy Wahl, three grandchildren; Jim Hall, Ben Wahl, and Suzanne Hall, five great-grandchildren; Elizabeth Hall, Lexi Grisham, Caleb Rowland, William Wahl, and Talli Grisham, one great-great-grandchild; Wyatt Hall.
Funeral services are Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at 2 pm from the First Presbyterian Church with Phillip Warren and Dr. Sherard Edington officiating. Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Monday 5-7pm at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Tuesday after 1pm at the church.
Active Pallbearers: Ben Wahl, Jim Hall, Caleb Rowland, George Wahl , Gordon Bone, and Frank Zier. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Presbyterian Church.
