Fiddlers Grove muleFuneral services for Mr. James Shrum will be 1:00 PM Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Eld. Garry Drennon officiating.  Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Saturday 2-8 PM and Sunday after 10 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Shrum, age 82 of Lebanon passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, at his home.

Born March 18, 1932, in Trousdale County, he is the son of the late Lester and Lela Estelle Stafford Shrum.  He was a farmer and factory worker.  He attended Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Ray Shrum; son in law, Larry Foster; two sisters, Martha Warner and Dorothy McBroom; and four brothers, Eugene, Dewey, Thomas & Clevert Shrum.

He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Annie Louise Sisco Shrum; eight children, Thomas (Ann) Shrum, Jessie (Charlene) Shrum, Annie Foster, Roy (Tammy) Shrum, David Shrum, Robert (Matra) Shrum, Clint Shrum, and Barbara (Jackie) Ward; two sisters, June (Jack) Crawford and Mai Jean Stone; two brothers, Roy & Joe Shrum; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers: Bobby Foster, Jackie Ward, Mike Moore, Joseph Shrum, Mark Shrum, and Kevin Meeks.

Active pallbearers: Jessie Wayne Shrum, Kenneth Shrum, Jason Shrum, Chris Brownlee, Johnny Cooper, and Jason McCreary.
