James Robert “Bobby” Gwynn III

Mr. James Robert “Bobby” Gwynn III age 69 of Lebanon passed away February 22, 2019, at his home.  He was born in Lebanon, TN the only child of the late James Robert “Bob” Gwynn Jr. and Margaret Robinson Gwynn.  He worked in accounting for Texas Eastern and the Tennessee Woolen Mill.  He later co-owned with his wife the former Teacher’s Aid and Emerald Party Supply.  He was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy and George Peabody College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Guam in special communications.   He was a member of Leeville United Methodist Church.  On March 16, 1974, he married Jean Gibson of Watertown.

He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Jean Gibson Gwynn; daughter, Kimberly (Chris) Bolt; three grandchildren:  Zachary, Abigail and Gwynneth Bolt; brother-in-law, Jimmy Gibson.  He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Junior Gibson.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. from the Leeville United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Owen and Rev. Bo Johnson officiating.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Members of Leeville UMC, Lydia Harley, Jimmy and Linda Edwards, Jimmy Gibson.  Private burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Saturday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Leeville UMC, Alzheimer’s Association or S.A.L.T. Food Ministry.
