James F. “Jimmy” Robinson

Jimmy Robinson coverFuneral services for Mr. James F. “Jimmy” Robinson will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Thomason officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Thursday 3-7 PM and Friday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Robinson, age 78 of Lebanon passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at University Medical Center.

Born May 4, 1936, in Wilson County, he is the son of Lela Adams Robinson Forester and the late John Robinson.  He served in the United States Army from 1959-1965, and is a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church.  He retired from TRW Ross Gear after thirty four years.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step father, Bernard Forester.

He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Peggy Jordan Robinson; two sons, Stanley (Regina) Robinson and Andy (Melissa) Robinson; mother, Lela Adams Robinson Forester; five grandchildren, Nicole Evans, Jordan (Katelyn) Robinson, Drew Robinson, Carrie Robinson, and Peyton Robinson; two great grandchildren, Maddie & Lane Evans.

Active pallbearers: Jordan & Drew Robinson, Charles Scott, Mike Hearn, Kenny Fields, and Larry Boshers.
