nopicture-butterfly1Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Clinton Murphy will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February  3, 2015 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Spickard officiating.  Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery at Gladeville.  Visitation will be Monday 2 –8 PM and Tuesday after 9 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Murphy, age 82 of Gladeville passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at the Pavilion in Lebanon.

Born October 18, 1932, in Putnam County, she is the daughter of the late Norman Carlis and Katie Mae Judd Clinton.  She worked as a locksmith at Lankford Hardware for many years and is a member of Gladeville Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Kenneth Murphy; daughter, Kimberly Anne Kessler; son in law, Danny Rollins; two sisters, Rosie Reada and Irene Thurston; and three brothers, Ernest, Lester, and Chester Clinton.

She is survived by two daughters, Roxie (Phillip) Lannom and Lisa Rollins; son in law, Duwayne Kessler; five grandchildren, Christy (Jimmy) Wright, Becky (Gomer) Jordan, Chris Lannom, Tabitha Williams, and Tara Potts; nine great grandchildren, Amber (Andy) Graves, Dylan Bond, Charley Cagle, Graci Williams, Tristan Williams, Allieanne Kessler, Larry Potts, Kimberly Potts, and Eli Fears; great great grandchild, Baileigh Jean Beecham; sister, Ruby Miller, and brother, James Clinton.

Active pallbearers: Chris Lannom, Duwayne Kessler, Dylan Bond, Gomer Jordan, Tristan Williams, and Scott Hughes.
