Ernestene Eddins Bane

ernestene-baneFuneral services for Mrs. Ernestene Eddins Bane will be 10:00 AM, Friday, September 23, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Pastor John Hunn and Mike Maynard officiating.  Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Thursday 4–7 PM and Friday after 9 AM at Ligon & Bobo .

Mrs. Bane, age 74, of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.

Born October 31, 1941, in Wilson County, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Ernest and Rawsie Johnson Eddins.  She graduated from Cumberland University and Middle Tennessee State University and received her Masters from Trevecca.   She was a school teacher for thirty five years, having taught at Tuckers Cross Roads Elementary for most of that time.   After retirement, she taught Adult Education.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and also served as the church librarian.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty seven years, Alton Bane on June 7, 2016; brother, Milton Eddins and her sister, Nelda Harris

She is survived by son and daughter in law, David and Nancy Bane; two daughters and sons in law, Lori and Ken Hood and Susan and Jay Fagan; two grandchildren, Lauren Hood and Dillon Bane; and sister, Adele Hodges.

Honorary pallbearers: Ken Hood & Mike Harris     Active Pallbearers: David Bane, Jay Fagan, Dillon Bane, Keith Harris, Steve Harris, Eric Harris, Jesse McCormick, and Scott Winfree.

Memorials may be made to the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center.
