Ernest B. (Burt) Palmer Jr.

noflower-flagMr. Ernest B. (Burt) Palmer, Jr., 1st Lt U. S. Marine Corps, Retired of Lebanon, TN formerly of Hamburg, Arkansas, died on September 7, 2016.  He is preceded by death by his parents, Ernest and Lorraine Palmer and a sister, Paula Palmer.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda B. Palmer of Lebanon, TN, a son Lewis (Bart) Palmer of Memphis, TN; and two step sons, Duke Tribble of Lebanon and Mark (Elaine) Tribble of Little Rock, Arkansas.

He served his country from 1949 until 1970 during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.  During his military career, he served for a year with the C.I.A. sponsored covert Helicopter Operations in Laos and Burma.  This Helicopter Operation was the beginning of the Air America Helo Program.  He considered it an honor to have served his country and a privilege to have been a U. S. Marine.

Visitation will be at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home on Friday, September 9, 2016, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.  Graveside service after visitation at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Request no flowers but memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN or a charity of your choice.
