Danny Ernest Reed

Rev. Danny Ernest Reed, age 67 of Nashville and a native of Lebanon, died June 9, 2017 at Southern Hills Medical Center. He was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon High School, Middle Tennessee State University, and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.  He was currently the Pastor of Scenic View Baptist Church in Nashville.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years: Carolyn Leech Reed; two children:  Victoria (Benjamin) King, Joshua Reed; grandchildren:  Harlee, Shelby, and Tony; mother, Dorothy Reed; brother, Billy (Ginger) Reed; sister, Helen Sue (Scott) Kasawne.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Ernest Reed.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. from the Barton’s Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Erik Reed officiating. Interment – Barton’s Creek Cemetery.  Visitation Monday 5-8 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.

    Wayne and I want to let you know how sorry we are for your loss and that you and your family are in our prayers. We both thought a lot of Danny and will miss him.     My deepest condolences to the Reed Family. I was brought up in Barton’s Creek Baptist Church as a child and was fortunate enough to attend church with both Dot and Earnest Reed. May god wrap his loving arms around Dot and may she feel his presence during this most difficult time. Comfort for his wife, children and grandchildren as well.
