Mr. Brooks, age 73 of Lebanon passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Alive Hospice Madison Campus.

Born December 19, 1942, in Port Huron, Michigan, he is the son of the late Ferrell Ervin and Ella May Lang Brooks.  He served in the United States Navy for twenty one and a half years, retiring as an E-9 Chief.  He then worked as a construction foreman for Bob Stanley Builders for many years.  He attended Immanuel Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Brooks.

He is survived by his wife of forty two years, Doris Bishop Brooks; daughter, Mardella Smith; and two sisters, Donna (Ervin) Miller and Myrna (Chuck) Wilson.

The family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
