Charles Larry Dickens

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Larry Dickens will be 3 :00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Sanderson Funeral Home in Carthage with Bro. Larry Pedigo and Bro. Bryan Bratcher officiating. Interment will follow at Smith County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Saturday 3-8  p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon and Sunday 1-3 p.m. at Sanderson Funeral Home in Carthage.

Mr. Dickens, age 69 of Lebanon passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017, at his home.

Born May 20, 1947, in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Charles and Nellie Woodard Dickens. Raised in the Elmwood Community, he was a 1965 graduate of Smith County High School and was a Methodist. He was a supervisor for Jones Brothers Construction of Mt. Juliet for twenty two years, until failing health forced him to retire.  He had been a resident of Lebanon for forty-four years.

He is survived by his wife of forty five years, Patsy Anderson Dickens; two daughters, Dana Nicole Dickens and Kimberly (Jaime) Langston; four grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Dickens, Kadin Bijan Dickens, Avrea Kay Dickens, and Reese Lee Langston; and a brother, Tony (Iris) Dickens.

Honorary pallbearers: Billy Clark McKinney, Gordon Thompson, and Roy Vaden.

Active pallbearers: Ricky Woodard, Randy Woodard, Ed Blair, Billy McGee, Sammy Gibbs, Kenneth Brown, and Wesley Tankerly
