Beverly Cowan

Mrs. Beverly Cowan age 72 of Lebanon died February 8, 2017, at her home. A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Elizabeth Dickens Whited.  She was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon High School and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.  She was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gray Cowan.

Survived by three sons: Wayne (Amber) Cowan, David (Jennifer) Cowan, Daniel Cowan; five grandchildren:  Carson, Corinna, Logan, Maggie and Cecelia Cowan; three sisters:  Ann Edens, Darlene (J.W.) Johnson, Tina (Albert) Tomlinson; brother, Chris (Debbie) Whited.

Funeral services are Friday, February 10, 2017, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wilson and Bro. J.W. Johnson officiating. Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers:  Brian and Ronnie Dickens, Anthony Hall, Bruce, Keith and Doug Johnson.  Visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Friday.

    My sweet precious Aunt, I know you’re at peace with our other loved ones that’s gone on to heaven prior, and you’re no longer suffering. It’s truly hard being so far away not saying my last goodbye to you 🙁 but in my heart I know you loved me and knew I’d be there if I could. So glad we had that last phone conversation and I’ll do exactly as I promised, live my life right and we will see each other again someday. I love and miss you dearly Aunt Bev….
